Our Mission:
"nanos gigantum humeris insidentes" - Bernard of Chartres, 6th century Philosopher. The latin phrase, "discovering truth by building on previous discoveries" is what we hold dear to our team. We strongly believe in the age old saying that greatness now stems from the greatness of others before us. Thus we aim to perpetuate the discoveries of the scientific field by mentoring future scientists with the knowledge we have as others had done for us.

Charter School of Wilmington
The Charter School of Wilmington is one of the top high schools in the country for math and science. Students in their sophomore year are required to complete a summer "Junior Research Program" which is then presented their Junior year. As such, our team has been mentoring two students on their projects dealing with microbial growth and bacterial transformations. We are likewise in the process of creating a high school iGEM team at CSW for students looking for a unique research experience their Junior/Senior Summers.
Urban Promise of Wilmington
Urban Promise aims to be a service leadership community seeking to transform underpriveleged areas of Wilmington by equiping children and young adults with the necessary skills needed for academic achievment, life management, personal growth, and servant leadership. As such, we have partenered with Urban Promise for the second summer in a row to we lead small science projects/activities with the kids (funded by donation) in order to engage them in the field of science and enrich their minds with opportunities they may otherwise not have had access too.
